No one in our ʻohana goes hungry.

Maui Fire Relief Update: Every dollar donated to Maui Hubʻs Give a Gift fund will have DOUBLE impact: it will feed folks affected by the fires, AND it will support Mauiʻs farmers and ranchers.

We give affected folks Maui Hub store credit, giving them the ability to buy what they need, when they need it, and our support wonʻt expire, as long as we have the resources to keep it up.

So many people have been affected by Mauiʻs fires, and Mauiʻs farmers and ranchers have taken another big hit too. Crop damage from the storms. Huge loss of markets because of so many restaurants lost in Lahaina, and the slow in tourism.

Our community will need support long term, and we are here for the long term.

Maui Hub was built during COVID to support our farmers and our people in times of crisis, and we are here to do that now too. Through good times and hard times, no one in our ʻohana goes hungry.

100% of funds raised through this program are given to folks in need, or their service providers, in the form of Maui Hub store credit.

In spite of various government programs and services, there are always gaps in service that put folks in crisis: Lost or delayed EBT applications, sudden family crises, unexpected economic hardship.

Maui Hub collaborates with various outreach and mutual aid organizations that help us identify folks who are in need and gifts them with credit to shop for what they need.  Because of our Give a Gift fund, we are able to respond to hunger crisis immediately, and keep folks fed while they are accessing other long-term services.

We also offer store credit to folks who deliver food boxes or meals to Mauiʻs unsheltered or home-bound kupuna.  Fresh produce is a welcome addition to boxes filled with shelf-stable foods, especially for kupuna or health-compromised folks who are on diets that limit consumption of salty or processed foods.
